Surrendering an Animal

Attention: Owners Surrendering an Animal

To surrender your pet, please email info@almosthomeanimals.org with the following:

1. Pictures
2. Medical information (altered, current vaccinations, issues/medical conditions, etc.).
3. The animal’s temperament, especially with children and other animals.
4. A detailed explanation of why you must surrender your animal.

We regret we cannot accept every animal.  We love our animals like family and sometimes don’t have the capacity to take new animals.  Almost Home no longer functions as the City of Southfield animal shelter, and we now operate independently as a foster-based shelter.    We will supply you with information about other no kill shelters if requested. A good starting point is to check out www.nokillnetwork.org.
